A Little Bit About Me
Joanne is a Registered Psychologist with a rich and diverse professional background who works with adults, adolescents and children. She has a broad depth of experience with a deep understanding of the emotional, behavioural, social, and learning needs of children and adolescents, particularly those with neurodevelopmental differences, learning difficulties, anxiety, and school-related challenges.
Joanne is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and families in a warm, practical, and neuro-affirming way. She brings a thoughtful and compassionate approach to therapy and assessment, with particular interest in autism, ADHD, learning differences, emotional regulation difficulties, anxiety, wellbeing, and family support.
Joanne values collaboration and works closely with families, schools, and other professionals to help young people feel understood, supported, and empowered. She provides assessment and therapy services for children, adolescents, and adults, with a focus on building emotional wellbeing, confidence, resilience, and meaningful participation in daily life.
Joanne has completed extensive training across Psychological Sciences, Mental Health and Counselling, Inclusive Education, English, Visual Arts, and Law. She has also held a number of leadership and advisory roles across education and mental health sectors, including contributing to disability and inclusion initiatives within Australian education systems.
