Respect, Dignity & Non-Discrimination
Be treated with respect, compassion and without judgment, bias or discrimination.
Have your cultural, neurodivergent, identity and personal background acknowledged and honoured.
Culturally Safe & Inclusive Practice
Have a practitioner who listens to you, asks about your preferences/needs, and adjusts support accordingly.
Use support persons (family, carers, cultural mentors, community supports) as part of your therapy/assessment, if you wish.
Informed Consent & Ongoing Consent
Receive clear, plain-language information about the nature and scope of services offered (therapy, assessments, telehealth, data/record-keeping, third-party communications, etc.).
Have the opportunity to ask questions and to give—or decline—consent.
Be re-consulted if the scope of services changes, or if you prefer to review consent over time.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Have personal and sensitive information collected, recorded, stored and disposed of securely and confidentially.
Know who has access to records, under what circumstances, and have control over who you allow to see your information (subject to legal and ethical limits).
Safe Therapeutic Boundaries
Work with a practitioner who maintains clear, professional boundaries, is transparent about dual relationships and avoids conflicts of interest.
Understand limits of confidentiality (e.g., when there is risk of harm, mandated reporting, or legal obligations), and have these explained to you.
Collaborative, Person-Centred Care
Participate actively in decisions about your therapy or assessment goals, methods, and pace.
Have the right to voice preferences, concerns or to request changes (e.g. different modalities, pace, inclusion of support persons, breaks, accessibility needs).
Cultural and Individual Safety
Feel safe to express cultural, identity or neurodivergent needs without fear of discrimination.
Have needs related to accessibility, sensory differences, communication styles, identity or cultural safety respected and accommodated.

Receive clear information about fees, cancellation policies, telehealth limitations, privacy in digital delivery, and avenues for complaints or feedback.
Right to Withdraw or Refuse
Decline or withdraw consent at any time.
Choose not to participate in a particular intervention, or to stop services, without pressure or judgement.
